About

Welcome to my blog! It was set up a while ago to share my thoughts about Enterprise Software, which is my passion and also my job. There was a period when I couldn’t post about software due to corporate policy of my then-employer. That’s when non-technology topics made their way into the blog and I think those diversions are here to stay.

In particular, I enjoy reading, and in keeping with the technical nature of the blog, I sometimes reflect on notable Science Fiction books I read. My favorite writers in Sci-Fi are: Isaac Asimov (remarkable clarity of writing and immense productivity), Robert Heinlein (exploration of social issues) and Vernor Vinge (down to Earth thinker on digital age and artificial intelligence).

I am an enterprise IT professional of more than 2 decades. I’ve been a consultant for a long time, worked for JPMorgan Chase for over 4 years. I then spent over 6 years as a Software Engineer at Google, most of that time working on Google Maps. Currently, I develop flight automation software for Wing, Alphabet’s drone delivery company. Software topics that are of especial interest to me are software craftsmanship and performance.

All opinions expressed in my blog are my own and not of my employer.
